How old is my dog in human years?
The old rule — one dog year equals seven human years — is a myth. Dogs mature much faster in their first two years: the first year is worth about 15 human years and the second about 9 more. After that, each year adds roughly 4–6 human years depending on size, which is why this calculator asks for your dog's size. Large dogs age faster than small dogs.
